Don't Forget Your Food Banks

This time of year is fun but for some the sad reality sets in that there might not be presents for the kids this Christmas or worse yet there is no food on the table. Please remember to donate food and toys to your local food banks. Check your radio stations if you are not sure where to donate as they have ongoing food drives etc in many locations all over town. This applies across the board in Canada and the US. Also please note that these donations are not only required during the holiday season but food banks run out of food very rapidly and require donations ALL YEAR.

There is too much emphasis on making "$10000/month and anyone can do it" most people think they have to only sponsor (recruit) people. That is not the case and that is not how to build a long term business. YOU MUST HAVE A CUSTOMER BASE like any other company in this world. DUH.... is that so hard for people to understand. Anyway read this....

Snow In Vancouver?!

Well we seem to be getting a dump of snow early this season. For anyone that thinks that we usually get snow here in Vancouver I am proud to say we don't normally get snow and if we ever do it's usually in January and only last for a couple of days. This is unexpected and I hope it goes away soon! I must say I would rather have a little snow and it stay sunny than the torrential rains we have been having.

Why We Seek The Best Nutritionals?

Need I say more? Well I will say a litttle more. Why is it that we seek better nutrition and quality supplements (so we don't have to look like Mr. Bean)? No besides plastic surgery there isn't much hope for him! That aside there are niche groups of people that care about their health and want the best healthy aging products on the market. Last Minute Halloween Costume!

Okay so my wife,brother and I are going to aHalloween party at a local pub the problem is that it is last minute "literally". I had costumes from previous years but I didn't feel like dressing up and I just wanted something simple. I found a potty seat in the closet( don't worry it was new and never used) and within a few minutes I had my costume. I hot glued the seat onto an old touque (ski cap) as Americans call them. Made a little reference From Seinfeld "the assman"

and ......It was an absolute hit. Everyone loved it and of course you can imagine the comments!

Do You Contact People You Work With?

This is a tough decision and probably depends on the type of work you do and the people around you. As a rule I don't think it's a good idea unless its away from work or at lunch and that may depend on the people you are with. So poses a few questions then:

Do you email the people you work with while at work about your business?

Is it better to email from home on your time?

It is more acceptable to present only your product to them at work?

Do you directly ask them for a referral for your XYZ product without directly asking them if they would be interested?

Pumpkin Patch Success?

The pumpkin patch was fun there was just a sea of pumpkins. As far as getting a big one.... I think we should have gone to look for one about a week ago because they were pretty picked over. It was a perfect day to go but a little muddy in places (my 2 year old found out). All in all a great day I think everyone should consider buying direct from a pumpkin patch near you vs a Safeway, Walgreens etc.... support local farms!

Family outing today. This morning we are heading to the pumpkin patch to pickup some pumpkins. I will post about the huge ones we find (I hope)! I think they have a hay ride so it should be fun!

Remember To Laugh

We all have busy lives full of stress and sometimes barely have time to relax and reflect on the days or weeks events. If you are one of those people, do yourself a favor and take some time to laugh. Find something funny on the net with your wife/ partner, or son or daughter and laugh...

Another thing to try is just sit and stare at each other and try not to laugh (just like when you were a kid) you'll be surprised at how much you will laugh! My wife and I have been laughing quite a bit lately and it makes us feel better and more relaxed. Go TRY IT NOW!

Is Network Marketing Just A Scam?

There's a huge difference between network marketing and pyramid schemes. Learn the truth here.

Q: Some friends continue to try to recruit me into network marketing deals that seem like some type of money game or pyramid. Other friends tell me they're illegal and I'll get into trouble. How do I know what's legal and legitimate?
A: To help you understand what network marketing is, I must first explain what it isn't. First, network marketing isn't a pyramid scheme. Pyramids are programs similar to chain letters where people just invest money based on the promise that other people will put in money that will filtrate back to them and somehow, they'll get rich. A pyramid is strictly a money game and has no basis in real commerce. Normally, there's no product involved at all, just money changing hands. Modern-day pyramids may have a product, but it's clearly there just to disguise the money game.
Network marketing is a legitimate business. First, it's based on providing people with real, legitimate products they need and want at a fair price. Why Network With Others?

Now here is a question that really shouldn’t make you think too hard. Why? Well if you want your business to grow you must network and become friendly with other people you may not have normally talked to . Even if you don’t click with that person there is a chance that they may refer you to someone that you might have more in common with. When you meet that person you will know within a few minutes if you “click” with them or not. Don’t misunderstand me I don’t mean go out and hound people and act desperate, but be genuine in your discussion and from there you will make good friends with some people and also start to build a network or community of “possibilities”. The beauty of networking is that magical word called
Referral Marketing or word of mouth.

First of all I am not trying to poke fun at obese people and I know I may get some negative feedback but come on let's try eating a better diet people! The fast food consumption of Americans and Canadians is staggering and childhood obesity is on the rise. If we don't start educating our children and setting the example at a young age your child may be the one sitting on the right (I agree, the one on the left could be a plumber). Customer Service

Treating a customer properly is more important than making that big sale. I believe that customer service should be the number one priority in any business including MLM. Let's face it, if a customer has a bad experience they may not come back to you and in turn you will lose any referrals from them. Here is something that bothers me and I hope you can relate: Have you ever walked into a store (any store) and the person behind the counter is on the phone and they know you walked in and continue their conversation (which is fine) BUT they don't look at you or even acknowledge to you that they will be with you in a moment. This turns me off and may result in them losing a small trickle of business from me and any referrals.

Remember, customer service shouldn't become a hassle for you. If it is you're in the wrong business!

Present With Honesty

The MLM or Network Marketing industry has been plagued with unethical business practices for decades now and it's time to change the perceived image and It starts with us. Think about how you present your information. Are you being deceptive and If so why are you? Tell it like it is and don't hide anything. I get tired of reading about hype and how you can make $10 000 in residual income in the next 2 weeks, yada, yada, yada. This company is ground floor, awesome opportunity, we're gonna be rich, blah, blah, blah. I'm tired of this bullshit.

In order to present your company you had better do your homework before even getting involved with a network marketing company.

1) Make sure you do your due diligence on the company. Are they reputable? Are they growing and have significant financial backing? Who are the "brass" behind the company.

2)This is absolutely essential. The product must be GREAT or don't bother. The product is to solve a problem or exceed the expectations of the consumer. This is KEY

3)Compensation plan- is there a fair payout. Some of the best plans are unilevel with depth bonuses. There should be different options to get started and it shouldn't cost thousands.

Remember you shouldn't have to go into debt to get started!

Back to presenting- tell someone that you are marketing your specific product and what it has done for you. If the product is good then you should have wonderful results to share. don't be deceptive and lie it will only bite your ass in the end.

If someone asks is it MLM tell them yes it is. Then explain to them about the company you work with and why they are so great. (they better be great)

I come to you, a small immature being with my own style and personality. I am yours for only a short time. ENJOY ME!

1) Please take time to find out who I am, how I differ from you and how much I can bring to you.

2) Please feed me when I am hungry. I never knew hunger when I was inside you, and clocks and time mean little to me.

3) Please hold, cuddle, kiss, touch, stroke and sing to me. I was always held closely inside of you and was never alone before.

4) Please don’t be disappointed when I am not the perfect baby that you expected, nor disappointed with yourselves that you are not the perfect parents.

5) Please try not to expect too much from me as your newborn baby, or too much from yourselves as parents. Give us both six weeks as a birthday present – six weeks for me to grow, develop, mature and become more stable and predictable, and six weeks for you to rest and relax and allow your body to get back to normal.

6) Please forgive me if I cry a lot. Bear with me and in a short time as I mature I will spend less and less time crying and more time socializing.

7) Please watch me carefully and I can tell you those things which soothe, console and please me. I am not a tyrant who was sent to make your life miserable but the only way I can tell you that I am not happy is with my crying.

8) Please remember that I am resilient and can withstand the many natural mistakes you will make with me. As long as you make them with love, you cannot ruin me.

9) Please take care of yourself and eat a balanced diet, rest and exercise so that when we are together you have the health and strength to take care of me.

10) Please take care of your relationship with each other, for what good is a family bonding if there is no family to bond?

Although I may have turned your life upside down, please realize that things will be back to normal before long.

Kids and Nutrition

What is it about kids and not wanting to eat the foods that we know are good for them. Stop and think for a minute. What were we like growing up? Did we eat all the healthy foods that our parents told us to eat? Not likely....in fact many of us probably tried tricks like rolling peas onto the floor for our pet "the vacuum" because he eats anything. Or perhaps you tried slipping brussel sprouts into your pocket until you went outside to play. Don't sweat it but also set the example for them. Are you eating the kinds of food you should be. Think about it.... more at a later date......
